I need the oil cooler circled in the picture. Am i right in thinking this cools the engine oil and not the transmission oil ? Sorry for the daft question :dk:
I did think throttle flap sticking but I recently changed the rockercover gaskets so i gave it a good clean why it was all off. So i ruled it out but i guess it's worth a check incase it is the problem. As I wasn't sure if changing the belts could do it i just wanted people's opinions guess it...
Thanks for the replies guys.....
I was thinking the same but because I don't know the process of doing them I wouldn't know if it could cause it. The revs seem to be sticking a little as in, its idling a little higher than normal and when i drive it, say I'm going along at 30mph then let off...
I've got a 2004 E55 w211 and just had the supercharger and auxiliary belt changed at a mb specialist, but since I've got it back it seems to idle a little higher and it also sticks a little when driving which is more of concern. So my question is could it be a coincidence or could doing these...
Does anyone know a website (preferably uk) to get a good quality rear diffuser for the E55 w211. I know cks do one for £474 and i've also heard about the horror stories of the ebay ones so i would rather stay clear of them.
I'm in the middle of changing the hoses on the oil cooler on my 2004 E55 W211 because they've decided to fail. ( Pain of a job :wallbash: )
Does anyone know where to add fluid when the job is done ? As i have lost about 1 litre with the leak and taking off the hoses. I've been told it can only...
Mercedes went by my Reg so hopefully it will be the right one. Part no 211-500-02-75. Guess i will have to get my hands dirty again:bannana:
Thanks for the replies mate :thumb:
So after finding this diagram I've figured out they are the oil cooler hoses. I've spoken to Mercedes and i can buy just the hoses ( £300  ) So does anyone know if i could change the hoses without draining the fluids ? As I'm pretty sure it only circulates when the engine is running. Thanks...
Can anyone help me, I need to replace the two pipes in the picture but I don't know the name of them. Does anyone else or even better a part number ? :dk:
Update:
So i did a little more digging and finally found the problem. It's clearly a common thing to happen when doing the gaskets on the rockercover.
Ok so the problem, there's a metal hose that mounts onto the rockercover (back of the engine passenger side) Now this sneaky pipe seems to pop...
So I've just finished a rockercover gasket/seals change, and now the car won't drop to normal revs and it sticks when you rev it. I've seen a post where people are telling the guy to check all the pipes and i have checked them all everything is on :wallbash: Anyone have any ideas or anything to...
I think my power steering fluid has sprayed out all over the passenger side of the engine. I can only think it's PS fluid because the reservoir is not registering anything on the dipstick/lid (but there is a little fluid left in) and oil is all good. All i have had chance to do is clean it, i...
