I have put new wheels on my 95 w124 e220 coupe,8x17 225x45 on the front, 9x17 225x45 rear..the front drivers side wheel is rubbing on the cladding,but the passenger side has plenty of room not touching at all..any ideas why? Could it need caster adjustment..also the car has been lowered 40mm all...
Hi guys, just had 4 wheel alignment done and all within mb spec now.
I do have pulling issue to left though, I understand that this is because my caster figures are staggered the wrong way wrong.
I have bought the caster bolt so was going to fit.
Is this as simple a job as it seems?
As above, I need a set of (4) camber and caster adjustment bolts for my 2008 CL (W216), I believe the S class (W221) is the same.

There is this weird ball joint/radius arm end joint type thing, I don't even know what to call it, on the C126 front suspension. Its used to adjust caster.
You can see it on this screenshot attached, marked as 48. They just call it a 'support joint', which is not much help.

Well… After my springs, lower and top arms and ARB bushes have been replaced, my alignment data all looks good J However, one thing does concern me slightly and that is the Caster angles:

I just had my C-Class 220 cdi estate serviced at the princeley mileage of 20,253 miles. Its a 2007 model w203 and I was advised by the dealer that the Caster bushes ns and os front are split and the Camber bushes ns and os front are starting to split:crazy:

My insurer (Privilege) and it's "preferred repairer" (UK Assistance) have had two bites...
New and unused K-Mac kit for both the front and rear of the w124. Still boxed and sealed.

At my last service (start of month) they advised that caster arm bushed NSF and OSF have both split and require replacing. I have now noticed a creaky/knocking noise from front. Could the noise be these?
