I installed a new comand in a 2006 W203 yesterday, and it switched on, but only for 30 seconds then switched itself off.
Having spoken to Alfie via PM, I had a feeling it would need coded by Mercedes.
Took it to a local Mercedes dealer, and they have come back to me saying it's still...
Having just picked up my 1995 N plater (the one with the red/green led lights on the driver's and boot locks), one of the remotes was dead.
Put new batteries in it, red light tester on key comes on okay.
Used the good remote to open the doors.
Followed the instruction and put the dead...
I have a w203 pre-facelift. After retrofitting rear roller blind, WIS suggests to perform version coding for "electric blind for rear window" but checked out DAS menus and could not find version coding for "electric blind for rear window". Is there such thing on DAS as version coding for roller...

I ordered a spare key for the new motor.... but although the doors open manually, the transponder is recognised by ignition barrel and hence starts the engine the remote locking wont code????
The guys at my local MB dealer tried to code using their computer but still no luck...
I am adding a BOSE system to a CLK and I am getting conflicting advice on the D2B setup.
It can be either one of two things.
COMAND > Phone > BOSE > CD [global]
COMAND > BOSE > PHONE > CD [USA]
