    E320CDI W210 ABS / ESP/ BAS then dead

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a 2001 E320 CDI and today I have had a problem. Whilst driving along on a relatively bumpy road (usual in the UK now) the ABS BAS etc lights came on and I pulled over to the side to turn the ignition on and off to reset it. Once I turned the ignition off...

Got a call from sister yesterday claiming she couldn't get into my dads Cls350 (good i thought :D ) so off i went today to investigate as you do, upon inspection it turned out to be a dead as a dodo battery, not surprising as my dad is abroad and they haven't moved the car for a couple of weeks...

    New battery dead?

So, a few months ago I bought and installed a new battery. We've just come back from six weeks abroad, and the battery is totally dead - not enough power for central locking, full ECU reset, 0.14 volts showing up with a multimeter. It wouldn't even start with a "boost charger" attached (which...

    Dead Alternator? Perhaps not.

I always like to investigate faults myself. Since owning my Merc the alternator has always been "lazy" with a blip of the throttle being required sometimes to clear the charge warning light on start-up. However over the course of the last weekend my car got harder and harder to start. I...
