There's a post on the HonestJohn forum from a long standing member who is trying to order a C250CDi but is being told that the lease company can't or won't order one at the moment as there's a "mass" recall to change the injectors of Blue Efficiency cars.
He notes they aleady have a C220CDi...
I am thinking of getting one of these. Apparently cheaper to hire/lease/PCP than a 220 due to residual values.
Anyone got any opinions and I would appreciate pointers to the best place to hire/lease/PCP from. Presumably the Stealers are a No No.
I've got one of these as a courtesy car at the moment. I've been watching the mpg with interest. Bearing in mind this is supposed to be fuel efficient, and even has the (irritating to me) stop/start facility, I have to say the fuel consumption is pretty woeful. I took this pic this morning...
I'm seriously considering buying latest 'Blue Efficiency' C class Estate with all the 'goodies' and dealer assures me C180 has plenty of power for the size of the car. Its purely for low mileage (<12k annually) social use, however, my thoughts are that for the same money say without 'Comand'...

Completed a full tune up on my 1996 W124 E220 w/ 46K Kms on the clock. My definition of Tune Up includes:
1) Engine Oil/ Filter/ Fuel Filter Changed
2) Transmission/ Differential Fluid Changed
3) Bosch Spark Plugs replaced with slightly warmer plugs
4) New Engine Shock strut + Engine Mounts +...
Noted in the new A-class-eco literature is a comment about the car being lowered to give a smaller frontal area, thus being more aerodynamically efficient.
The suspension has been lowered by ten millimetres, thereby exposing a smaller frontal area to the airstream.
