I was having a chat with a service technician at Tony Purslows in Guildford regarding road holding and cornering of an SL after I had had the Eibach springs fitted. His experience was that the springs were a good first step but the rear track width also...
Well guys, decided to do it and fit the springs, Took the car down about 30mm but i put 5mm shims on the front too which took it down a further 10mm at the front which helps to even up the front and back.
Ride is very much the same in a straight line but handles a bit better in the corners...
I fitted some Eibach Pro Springs to my W208 CLK approx 5 months ago....
Recently I have noticed the car has started tramlining a LOT more than in previous months, on my 18" wheels and now on the standard 16" wheels which I have put back on for winter, also the car has started being affected...

Eibach springs and AMG wheels being fitted today. They're the Eibach Pro-Kit progressive springs.
Whilst I'm not doing them myself, I'd like to check that they have been done correctly. The kit did not include any fitting instructions - nothat I could see anyway.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier for these springs and dampers. I dont want to lower the suspension as I just scrape the speed bumps in town as it is. May improve with new suspension setup. Is it possible to fit the standard Avantgarde setup? :cool:
Can anyone suggest where I can buy these from or should i replace with the standard units. i dont want to lower the suspension as the exhaust just scrapes some sleeping policemen as it is. Any help appreciated. :cool:
