Hi everyone, I though you might like to know that you can still buy the intermediate shelf for the W211 E-Class glove box. I was looking in the glovebox and noticed that there were a couple of supports which looked like they were designed to hold a shelf, then I had a look at some forums...

Anybody have one? Or know the part number?Or failing that, anybody know if I can buy the button separately or would I need to buy whole unit.

Can someone confirm that the lid is damped and doesn't bounce when the button is pushed. Mine does and somehow I seem to think it didn't used to. Ta.

In my old W203(53 plate) the from center arm rest had a flap that allowed the box to be cooled, which was great for keeping drinks cold in the summer. I don't seem to have this option on the W211, does the glove box cool down instead or is there some where to keep drinks cool?
