Decided that 'das beast' is ready to take it's bow in public, took me long enough to get it presentable!
It's in no way perfect, but i reckon considering it's done 320+K, it looks good on it.

anyone get any recommendations to make the wood trim shine on my w210?
its "black" wood but the surface is dull - not as far as I can tell through being worn. Just needs the right polish..... anything "special" or just something wax based?
A friend introduced me to the art of machine polishing this weekend to try and rectify the 3-months that a dealership owned my car before I got it.
And what a result - a random orbital polisher, some compound, a good polish and 6 hours later, this is what happened. It's gone and left a...
Hi all,
My set of alloys on my car in the photo in the signature are in need of refurbishment.
Should I have the alloys refurbished by Amazing Alloys, painted silver, or could I DIY them by polishing the alloys back to bare metal and lacquer them to achieve the polished metal look?
Many...

I managed to get chance to clean and polish the winter grime away last weekend. Meguires Gold Class shampoo, followed by Autoglym super resin, followed by Autoglym extra gloss. Some tyre dressing, and hey presto, one very clean and shiny CLK. I'm really chuffed with the finish, not bad for a six...
Ever since I've had my car I've thought the paintwork is a bit dull and lifeless, meaning poor reflectivity and shine, I think the term is lack of depth.
I've read many comments about how good a porter-cable orbital polisher is but it has limitations as to what can be achieved.
Only a rotary...
Had Mike from The Polishing Co come round and spent day on my W211.
Whilst its only 2+ yrs old it has been abused and left out in all weathers and only polished with -dare i say it- MER. The car is now in better condition than when it rolled off the dealers forecourt. Any body who hasen,t got...

I have RSI in both my shoulders, and cleaning and polishing my car leaves me in agony for quite a few days after. (So beware all you spotty young computer people, working in tight server rooms, and cramped keyboards caused it all)
I have used a local valet service (in fact two) both of which...
Well, I washed her with Carplan wash and wax yesterday, stored her in a heated garage, and today decided to embark on polishing, as the paint still has the gel-cote on I used autoglym super resin for the paintwork, autoglym glass polish for the glass and mirrors, and autoglym paint renovator...
