reverse

Hi - new member here - I have a lovely 500sec that has started to object to going backwards! I can easily select reverse, and if the engine is cold it will move - but very slowly, - when warm even the slightest gradient will leave it stationary! I know will have to go to a garage, but wondered...

Does anyone know how I check the reversing lights work on the above? Mine don't work since I had my propshaft rubber replaced. I'm guessing the wire for reverse lights was unplugged but not put back in. Does anyone know where I should look to make sure its connected. For info, I've checked...

when selecting reverse from cold my 209 auto engages with a loud clunk, doesn't happen all the time or with forward gear selection and not at all when hot. Does anyone else's car do the same or is it something to investigate further. Car is garaged overnight. S

Hi all , According to my haynes manual the above switch is located under the centre consol, mine is worn as it only operates the lamps if you hold the gearstick right back (manual box) does anyone know the part number for a replacement. Car is 1988 300D
