I got Vista Home Premium, how do I get XP for free? How do I get the licence? From Dell or Microsoft?

I am considering upgrading my PC for a newer version. I currently have XP Home and have read on here the problems with Vista, How bad is it or is it ok with a few problems, or should I try and buy a PC with XP on it.

running windows vista,ive dragged 3000 albums onto a hdd they all show correct but are not in alphabetical order,they have stayed in the order i dragged them,how do i put them in order.i hate vista but my laptop wont run on xp.

Seem to have trouble loading programs and adding hardware to my new laptop, which is running on Vista. It won't let me put on Quickbooks, a DVB-T stick or google earth. Anyone else having problems with Vista? Wish I'd stuck to XP now and am seriously thinking about taking this one back.
