£100K G wagen

Colour is lovely, I wish they offered something similar to this shade across the range rather than a £3000 designo option (which I now think has been discontinued).

in all the years of looking at G wagons and being on the line (Magna Styer used to make something we took off of them when they were broken up and we were picking up some drawings) I have never seen a G in that colour!

Personally I think it is bl##dy awful. And I don't just mean the colour, the whole concept is bizarre to me and the price is staggering. Clearly I'll never be a style consultant to an over-paid premiership footballer, I assume this is the target audience.
Each to their own though.

Hideous. Wood colour clashes terribly with the paint and stands out horribly from the dull gloomy interior...

I second that

they don't sell at these prices and the depreciation is horrific, many of the new RHD models are still looking for a home and this is inspite of heavy discounting. I think they are great vehicles but they are not sports cars or pimp mobiles.

Don't personally like the colours of this one, but driving a G55 is insane. It doesn't feel as quick as you would expect, perhaps because you are so far from the ground? For the weight and aerodynamics it is somewhat of a miracle.
I only had about 30 minutes in one, but however mad the concept is, it somehow makes sense once you're behind the wheel.

Hideous in every way, I just don't get this old fashioned looking excuse for a 4x4, it's bordering on offensive, who buys cars like these, I know it's all about peoples taste but please, really... would anyone buy one of these even at 1k????:dk:

5th gear team test a few weeks back, went down like a lead fart as I recall????

Despite the age of the design and the extortionate price I see loads of new G Wagens around the country.

There were loads at MercedesBenz World at Brooklands the other day.

If I found £125k down the back of the sofa I'd have a G55 in a flash

Err...... no. Llittle Jonny Smith was on too much Red Bull - as were the other two.
The G55 scored an impressive and unbeliveable 21 out of 30 - not even worth half that score
