1 Malfunction

I have had the car MERC-C270 for 3 days. When i picked it up i noticed 0 malfunctions when scrolling through the menu. Upon starting the car this morning, and trying to demist the thing I noticed 1 malfunction. Any idea how to know what the malfunction is . . . I press the down arrow and get Needs fuel warning light...

Is this the malfuction or is there another way to find out what the malfunction is.

Have you tried restarting the car?
If its a bulb it will say so.
Otherwise it could be something else like washer fluid.

Or something bad

i was gonna suggest using the down/up arrows but if its just saying you need fuel that wont be the malfunction. im new to this game too im sure someone else with more experience will help you out tho

If you need fuel it will come up as a malfunction.
Go and put some in and it will go off.

Mine has never thrown up a malfunction due to low fuel. Fuel light, yes. "Reserve fuel" cluster message, yes. Malfunction, no.

I wonder if a lamp in the cluster had failed?

Yes it is the fuel. The cluster message saying reserve fuel is what is displayed as a malfunction. When it shows up to start with you can clear it by pressing any button. To see it again go to the malfunction menu and cycle up or down. Stick some fuel in and its nothing to worry about.

Yup, my W203 does exactly that. Any warning is classed as a malfunction.

Definatly low fuel( if you low on fuel)
