1 owner C36 AMG 65,000 miles

Id be after Peter's C43.

Can a 202 be any better than that?

Very much doubt it , surely one of ( if not the ) best one in the UK ...

I've seen it in the flesh and had a little ride in it , and it is simply perfect ... :)

Having had a look at both I actually prefer the C36 simply on originality and I think the engine really suits the car.

Sure the C43 has more grunt but I just like the C36...

and there's a bit of a price difference to be fair..........

i was surprised to see the facelift switches together with a pre facelift steering wheel in that c36, they sure did mix and match the pre and post facelift parts in the c36`s.

Peters C43 is lovely, and the best out there.

To be fair to you mate , your C36 is pretty nice too ... ;)

Have to say that I also fall into this camp....the C36 is a bit harder edged in terms of engine noise and the whole car all feels a little bit more hardcore......I also love the colour of this C36...really does set it off.

How on earth do you clock up 65k miles on an island thats only something like 7 miles long ?

If he wasnt doing "laps" of the island then thats an awful lot of very short journeys! Jersey cars are much more desirable than Guernsey ones for this very reason, and even Jersey cars seem to be very low mileage.

TBH for a Guernsey car it actually seems high mileage!

Yes Howard i agree it is a good looking car. Many thanks for the kind words.

It's still for sale :)

does the steering wheel look very worn for the milage on the c36

65k miles is a lot for Guernsey but Jacksons is a top notch garage and would verify the mileage. The guy may have used the car on European journeys too - a lot of people own what appear to be inappropriite cars in the CI but hop across the channel to France.

I always wonder about the wear to the valve guides though - my father has had 3 G classes in Guernsey and 2 have needed the guides replacing at low miles.

Yup lots of short journies isn't really ideal, the car would hardly ever get up to normal operating temperature.

I noticed the rear spoiler - I didn't think the C36s came with them - unless he asked for it as an 'option' from new?

Either that, or it was fitted afterwards.
