looking for a set of wheels to fit winter tyres on. My summer wheels are 17'' and im wondering if its possible to fit 16s?

thanks,
fred

May not clear the front brake discs/calipers. One way is to beg borrow or steal a 16"
C class wheel and try it out? Your drivers hand book may also tell you in the technical section under winter tyres.

My W203 C Class came with 15" wheels, if that helps.

Remember, with winter tyres narrow is good, narrower is better.

You should be OK, unless you have the sport pack brake package. If you do then you'll need 17" minumum.

If you have code 949/950 Sports pack then it is 17x7.5ET36 or larger at the front.
You'll save something by going 17x7.5 all round with 2254517 Winter tyres..

17s running 225s make great winter wheels

it doesnt look like sport brakes (they are not drilled) and the 'sport' pack on the spec sheet says "P85 - sport edition +"

Hi
Sorry, I just read your car spec in the section to the left.
W203 C320 Cdi requires 17x7.5ET36 or 18x7.5ET36or37 to clear front brakes. You can however use 7.5 (in either 17 or 18) all round to give you the option of wheel rotation and cheaper (narrower) rubber.
Chris

Thanks Chris, that settles it :)
