17 or 18 inch wheels

if i was to put 17 or 18 inch wheels on my w126 sel would it ruin the ride or not as ive been told by some one that it will, so i thought id ask the question from people who may have tried it many thanks

The ride will be fine, mercedes suspension is very soft anyway so it will feel more stable.

I might be selling my 17" wheels as I'm going up to 18" on my E class.

I'm lost as regards offsets so hopefully someone might chip in with advice!

Those will likely need large spacers to fit the 126. The hubcentric kind.

offset for 18's is supposed to be around 35mm but i am running 28 on the front and 18 on the rears and have no problem with rubbing have a play with the offset calculator on rinsntires links in the top on the forum
