hi ppl i need some advice on my merc that i have just bought, what it is,i have a 1998 c180 sport and i saw some 19`s amg wheels for sale i think they are replica`s but was just wondering if they would fit they do not yet have tyres on them so i can get any size tyre thanks.....

ive just tried to upload my pics of my car but it keeps on saying file size too big,but i think you have a general idea what type of car i have also will i have to do anything with the suspension? :bannana:

I've got 18s on my '98 W202 with 225/40/18 tyres and they fit perfectly, not problems at all. With 19s, you'll probably have to roll the front arches, but find out what tyres are going on the wheels, post em here and then help will be a lot easier to give. ;)

Post pics as well. :P

18's amg replicas fit on my w202 no prob and with low profile 35 tyres i reckon 19's wouldnt be a huge problem. go for it!

in regards to suspension... deffo, the ride height would be crazy compared to standard, the problem being once you upset the geometry its a case of how far do you go to correct it? we could be here all day! Personally I would fit a set of fully adjustable coilovers and do a bit of research into camber adjusters and have the geometry setup professionally although I do not know what is available for your shape of C class in relation to the camber otherwise you'll eat tyres for fun im afraid :(

The other BIG issue is with 19's make sure they're lightweight, a 180 with the strain of heavy replicas wouldn't be very nice at all, it'll create problems with acceleration, fuel consumption, braking performance and wear, clutch issues and knock your speedo out, its a lot to take into consideration...
