Hi,
I've bought a 1992 190E with 7J x 16 H2 ET37 alloys fitted. It wasn't long before I discovered the front tyres were hitting the arches on uneven road surfaces, so it's lucky I also insisted on taking the original wheels. The alloys were fitted with 205/55 R16. The gearing seemed all wrong as well. It's a much happier bunny with the original wheels.
Are the wheels totally unsuitable or would a different tyre choice have corrected the problems?
If anyone wants a set of these wheels they're probably for sale.
Cheers, Farmerbloke.
