1986 MERCEDES 190E 2.3 16 SILVER COSWORTH not evo or AMG

That's been up for sale a few times.

The very detailed listing should help it sell though...

Seller is Mercman , MB breaker, so I guess not really his forte ? Nice chap though.

I'm sure he is, but when your listing is as sparse as his then he's not doing himself any favours.

Anything you want to know about the car? It drives OK. Could do with some general TLC in quite a few areas. Pulls well through the gears.
No major bad points though.

And sparse as the advert is, its not even very accurate: states "full black leather" and yet the door cards, at least, are not

Seems incredible to me that a breaker with Mercman's knowledge & experience with access to EPC & all the other links & databases they must have accumulated over the years wouldn't know that colour is called 'Smoke Silver'.

I mean, they only came in two colours FFS!

Jeese, is it that bad a deal that somebody has put a short ad on Ebay? The pictures are excellent and the car looks good. If you're buying it, you're going to ask your own questions anyway, and ideally go and see it...

:D Typical MBClub...

Who cares what the colour is called?

It's a cheap car that needs work.

It would be a different matter if he wanted £20k for it like some of the ridiculous listings out there.

...very clean inside nice leather no major holes or tears...

Apart from the hole in the driver's seat bolster...
Why write sh*te like that if it obviously isn't true?

Well said!! FFS.. Car like this needs to be seen in person unless you're up for a full project. In any case ( as matter of discussion) it'll get slated and people will always find something wrong either way.

I am looking at it saturday with Jack. It will be our new project car I expect.

How do you know it's cheap, the reserve isn't even met!
