I am about to change the spark plugs in my e220 coupe. Like all older models the spark plug technology has moved on.

champion C11YCC
bosch F8DC4
imposssible to get now I think.:(

I have just bought 4 NGK BCP6E,s and I think I have 4 Bosch FR8D+Ittrium plugs somewhere. I have no experience of NGK except in my lawn mower and it runs fine. Any suggestions from anyone with the 2.2 litre 111.960 engine???

I use either Champion L212 or Bosch FR8 DC+. Asked to give an opinion? I would go for the Bosch everytime. They seem to perform better. Maybe thats just my imagination.

I've just fitted the Bosch FR8 DC+ Ittrium which replace those listed on the cross member on my E320 and they where only £1.25 each + vat at GSF.A Bargin as these are long life plugs.
I prefer Bosch which match the make of the coils.

I had Bosch plugs fitted 4 service intervals ago to my 220CE. I was getting ridiculous mpg about 18-20. Turned out they were from a dodgy batch of Bosch plugs bought from ECP. Replaced them with NGK and never had a problem again. Have been reluctant to use Bosch plugs since, but may be just my bad luck.

I have just found the four Bosch FR8D+ Ittrium PLUGS. I gapped them at 0.8 mm and installed them. Car seems to run fine but only time will tell. Will try to check mileage soon and keep the NGK plugs in reserve. Thanks to all for the advice.
