Hi All,
I am currently restoring my 1995 E300D multivalve.

I would like to install cruise control.
Would someone from the forum have a list of exactly what parts I need to source for this?

Also, if you have instructions, That would be great also!.

I have googled this, but there seems to be conflicting stories on how to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Eddie

I've done it on other models , but not Diesel .

Basically , on a W124 , you need a hall effect sensor which goes into the back of the speedometer , sometimes this is already present . You need the stalk switch to control the system , then there is the amplifier which goes above the driver's footwell , and finally , there is a throttle actuator which connects into the throttle linkage . Besides all of the foregoing , there is a wiring loom which picks up power from the fusebox and connects all the components together , the loom also connects to the brake light switch to knock cruise out if you touch the brakes .

I retrofitted cruise to one of my W126's , and am currently collecting the parts to do the same with my 190E ; my R129 will be a later project for the same modification .

It really isn't hard to do , but the real problems start if anything is faulty - best of all is if you can get the complete system from a donor car where it was known to be working ( as I did before ) .

Thanks for the response Ponteneer.

I'm speaking with mercman trying to source all the parts at the moment.

I might contact you again when installing it if that's ok!
