Hi all,

I was wondring whether I could get some advice. I have seen the following car on ebay:

2000 MERCEDES E320 CDI ELEGANCE AUTO BLACK on eBay (end time 11-Dec-10 19:28:24 GMT)

and I really like it, but is the price justified? I have spoken to the guy and the price is negotiable, but what is it worth? I have seen many E320s and for the same age, you are looking at around £3k, but this one has the toys!

So what do you think? To buy, or not to buy?

Also, could someone please tell me what sort of problems these cars have and what to look out for. I'm looking to buy an E-class that will not break the bank, but has to be a good example to last me a few years, be economical and also fit two toddlers (aged two and one), with a third baby on the way!

:)

It looks overpriced to me but that condition matters
The w210 has a soft spot for rust so at that price you should get a rustfree one so check carefuly

I agree with Dash -too much being asked for this. There are zillions of these for sale so be picky. The killer on these is the rust, otherwise very good cars.

You might be better served with the estate and 7 seat option with your brood. I had one of these and it was great (other than the rust that sprouted everywhere....)

Thanks for the replies. My missus doesn't want an estate because it is for 'old people' - no disrespect to anyone! Also, I will wait to buy an estate until I absolutely have to, or if a forth baby arrives...

Boooooooooooooo :D:D
If this is going to be your family car,did you know that you can`t put three baby chairs at the back?

Think your missus needs to change her (bad) attitude lol :D

I kind of knew this, but the two younger ones will be in booster seats and the baby will be in it's car seat. I know it will be a tight squeeze, but I will be driving :D

Also, I think the eldest (will be almost three) can sit in the front, or have I got this wrong?

I agree! I think I will just buy the estate and bring it home, too late for her to do anything about it then.
