2002 clk55 nav issues

I have just bought a clk55 with comand nav, there was no disc with the car and all i got was a message onscreen saying to insert the disc, i have purchased a bosch disc off ebay (apparently the last version/update). I put it in, it did some funky loading stuff, then a message saying navigation being activated, followed by a message saying No navi cd- please change cd. Do i need an original disc to put in after the update disc or should it run from the update disc? Thanks for any help!

It should run from the same disc I thought, but you'll have a different version of COMAND to me. - I just stick a new DVD in, it spends a few minutes updating, then off it goes with the current maps... well, as current as they where at the time of purchase.

Are you sure the eBay disc was right?

The seller said it was what i needed, i dont really know what disc i need, all i know is its a cd on mine rather than a dvd. Iv messaged the seller so see what they say.

are you sure its a genuine pressed CD and not a copy? Comand systems have flakey lasers so can have issues reading copies

Its stickered up as a genuine bosch disc, i dont know how to tell the difference.

Ink printed on top, reading surface should be bright Silver not a blue hue etc
If its a genuine CD, then have a chat to the guys at command uk. if they dont know the answer, nobody will

You almost certainly need a Teleatlas DX CD disc. The latest version is 2013/14 and no further updates are planned I am told. I still use a 2008 disc. Its a very basic system and the Navigation on your phone will be far superior. However its nice to have the command working properly.

Thats the disc iv got, the seller has said to use a cd lens cleaning disc then try it again.
