Oh dear, what about a model T Ford ?What about the side repeaters???![]()
That is just two you have mentionedbut I will agree to disagree.
I suddenly realised that this had this problem just over two years ago. This is an Estate and generally used for bringing the dog to the beach and for abandoning at airports so often does not get driven for weeks at a time.
I had forgotten all about it until I found my thread on another forum. That time it cured when I cleaned up the contacts in the SAM
Anyway I am getting a Launch creader V111 and I will see what that brings up.
I would have accepted that it was going into limp mode only for the fact that it can rev to the limit, but on reading my thread posts I see that one poster said that limp mode does not limit revs, it just locks it in a gear. Any opinions on that?
DSM10 As stated in a previous post it is not feasible to move the car at the moment, hence the request for a reply from someone who has hands on experience of the problem. I am confident of my ability to fix it
I have been doing a bit of trawling on the net and came across this Thread. Anybody any experience on what it contains?
can replacing 13 pin connector on cause 722.6 gearbox to go into limp mode - Mercedes-Benz Forum
Sometimes it is not possible to do a remote "diagnostic" as stated earlier all you will probably do is replace parts until you find a fix.
I don't think you will get anyone on here who will say it is this part or that one until they have some reliable data to go on!!
Star is based on a laptop so someone with it can come to you. Someone with "hands on experience" has almost certainly had a proper diagnostic run but you clearly know better.
I do not need to Google it I have experience of Star and what it can do thank you. As to what you mean by "Star is not as simple as that I do not know. It is the dedicated diagnostic software for MB and is superior to any generic software.DSM1 Star is not as simple as that, look it up. You can google it.
Have you changed the electroplate?
There are really only a few things it could be and all fairly straightforward once you work out what it is and using a dedicated code reader will help you out here massively.

Plug the MBII in and see what it generates, you have nothing to loose!!
And maybe you may be closer to solving your problem?
