2003 320 cdi going into limp mode

Hope someone can help! I have a 2003 e class estate 320 cdi. After about 20 mins the car drops into limp mode. Been doing this for a while. No faults come up and stopping and restating the engine gives a temp fix to reset for a while. Over 200k on the clock now but otherwise all seems fine. Was smoking a lot on full throttle when working ok so had injectors re sealed. Cleaner fluid through the tank and the exhaust cat soaked in acid to clean. Smoking much less now but still limp mode coming. Also drives a bit sluggish I'd say when working! Any ideas? Computer sees nothing.

Intercooler or hose air leak ?

I'm guessing it's a W210. Common causes are sticking or gunked up EGR, faulty MAF, air leak in intercooler pipes. BlackC55 has a sticky on what to look for initially when you suffer power loss on a Cdi engine

try the inlet manifold ,the butter flies get chocked will carbon andthat can cuase it to drop into limp mode ,hope this helps
