2006 CLS and IPhone 5

Hi all
I've just bought a 56 plate CLS and it has an iPhone 4 kit fitted. However I have an iPhone 5 - please could someone explain what I need to buy to be able to use my iPhone 5 with the kit? Is there an adapter or do I need a new cradle?
Luckily I have the iPod kit in the glovebox so I can listen to music but obviously I'd like to be able to make calls hands free etc too using the iPhone kit.

I can't say with certainty, as all the cars I've used my iPhone 5 in have the Media Interface rather than the iPod interface, but I use and Apple 30-pin to Lightning connector and everything works fine.

The iphone4 phone cradle will not work at all with the iphone5. The genuine apple 30-pin to lightning converter will allow you to use the ipod interface you have for music. Or you can use the Tune2Air dongle to make the music bluetooth with the kit.

The iphone5 cradle wont work with your car either im afraid as it is only for cars that have the built in bluetooth phone in the head unit) circa 2009 onward).

I have 2006 CLS with a bluetooth cradle inserted (see below) where the previous Siemens cradle was. I also have the DVD COMAND unit in the boot.

Works fine with my iPhone 5S for phone calls .. contacts downloaded as well as call lists.
