2006 E320 CDI new RL driveshaft needed

Hi all,

Sorry I am new to this so please let me know if this has already been discussed.

My girlfriend’s dad has a W211 2006/7 E320 CDI Avantgarde Auto.

It now has the ABS light on and has lost all power at low speed once or twice. The genuinely trusted local independent garage says that it needs a new RL driveshaft because the ring with the teeth on that I assume the ABS sensor looks at has become detached from the shaft.

Can anyone please advise where I could get one of these parts from? Or any other advice to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated. The parts numbers we have been given are AZ113501656 or AZ113500902 but the standard parts sites (Euro etc) don’t appear to list them, and the Mercedes dealer locally have quite over £900 for the part only!!

You can buy generic reluctor rings cheaply to fix this issue but it is labour intensive, as the shaft has to be removed IIRC.
