2006 slk vario roof failure

Hi everybody,
Has anybody else every had a vario roof module failure?
My wife's 2006 280 roof stopped working and the vario roof visit workshop light is on the clocks.
A star pc says there is no comms to the vrm and all fuses are ok.
Everything else works on the car except the heated rear window switch which lights up for a second or two and then goes out.
Any info gratefully received.

2005 SLK Vario Roof Problem

Identical problem (visit workshop fault just appeared one morning on entry to car on dash, only to find vario roof will not open and also rear window demist button lights up for a second and goes off when you want to operate it) on my SLK350. Any idea where/what to start checking myself?

Hi, I know it was a while ago but i have got the same problem you had on my SLK350, Can you let me know the outcome. I have tested all fuses and they are ok, My Heated rear window light comes on momentarily then goes off, also the bluetooth module has stopped working.
Any pointers would be great.
