The rear air suspension on my 2007 E320cdi estate is an ongoing nightmare.
Had problems a few months back with rear of car sagging, a brittle cracked pipe that fed one airbag was discovered, replaced it, all seemed good.
Four weeks later, suspension sagging again. Had been warned during the previous investigations that compressor wasn’t working very efficiently, so replaced it, all seemed good.
Now the rear of the car is going down again but not consistently. Some mornings it’s down first thing then when I open the doors I hear the compressor kick in, and it comes back up. Sometimes I leave the car for half an hour after driving it and it goes right down, other times it stays up for several hours.
Sometimes it seems fine when I start driving, then after some time the ‘warning car too low’ message appears on my dash and the car has sagged again !!
So we’ve been looking for another leak, but I can’t see why if it is a leak that the back of the car wouldn’t go down every time at a similar rate.
Any advice, thoughts, comments welcomed please
