I will be disconnecting battery over the weekend to try and find the circuit which may be draining the battery. Are there any watch outs when disconnecting the battery, or when reconnecting?

I hear people talking about re-synchronising the car, but not sure if that is relevant to a 2007 14 year old car?

Just on the battery drain problem, never had problem even when car has stood for a couple of weeks. Had the airbag recall completed at dealer, week later battery is dying and won’t start the car, or allow ignition to be turned. Has anyone else experienced this after the airbag recall was completed please?

Thanks
G.

gsr The battery will need to be disconnected by removing earth lead first ,,and replaced last. Also you might need your radio code once battery leads are refitted .. .And for you to do a reset after , i would visit youtube and do a search on resetting your car system . I am sure someone will help you with the information you need on here first but if you dont get any help then youtube is the best place to find out how to reset it.

Thanks for replying. Followed your advice and had a look at YouTube.

Battery tested and did a drain test. Drain is 50 milliamps which seems normal, so looks like the battery needs replacing as it has dropped to 7.6 volts.
