Hello all, newbie to the group.

I had a 2009 e280 CDI in 2009 and loved it. I have just bought another as a second car / daughter lugger but it has a broken passenger /near side rear seat release locking lever. I can still open it but it is fiddly. I have seen on a thread that it is part no A 2119200372 (thank you), but cannot find one anywhere on the world wide tinterweb using various connotations, other than a picture of the exact part on a website … that has zero stock!

If anybody knows of where I might find one please shout. The picture has been taken off the internet purely to show what it is… if they had one I would have bought it, no copyright infringement etc intended!

Hi there.
A MB main dealer may oblige at a price.
Otherwise, I have found Ryan Quayle Prestige Allparts neat Oldham very helpful.

Mention me - John in Leeds.
Good luck.

Haven’t used them for decades but Silverlake are a very well established recycler. 023 8022 9999

Have you tried Global Parts in Ashford? (Big presence on EBay)

“Other recyclers are available.”

You might end up needing to buy an entire rear seat in order to pull that specific part. Which sounds a bit ridiculous but many a seat is effectively unsaleable because of the leather, so will be a chap source of an otherwise unobtainable part.

Thanks Mike, I was thinking I might have to buy a whole seat… might then make a fancy garden room chair!

Cheers

Not ideal, but wouldn’t be surprised if one could be picked up for less than £100. You’d get your bit, yet might find other parts of it are needed by others….

Mike,

Sorry for delay. I got a catch and lock part from Prestige Allparts having spoken to very helpful Daryll. £66 for the part which arrived a couple of days later, and I fitted it with the help of a couple of you tube videos, within 10-15 mins.

Cheers

James

Excellent ! Glad to hear !

These Breakers are a world away from the “Good Old Days” of climbing onto cars balanced on top of one another, with a screwdriver in hand, trying to remove bits yourself.
