Our ML 350 blue efficiency is sometimes shown as a sport in vehicle enquiries for insurance. What I'm trying to understand is what is "sporty" about a ML350 that is different to a std ML350?

Thanks

Bigger alloys, a bit more black trim and the odd AMG badge or two, probably....

What does your V5 say?
It does say sport but there's no badge on the car to say sport, just blue efficiency which doesn't say much at all. I now wonder if i've fitted the 330mm discs instead of the 350mm"ones.

No badges and the alloys have been replaced with 20" AMG S class alloys, I will be getting some 19" alloys so I can have more tyre between me and the road.

Apologies, my response was a little tongue in cheek.....
I too have a 'sport' variant of another Mercedes car, and its a trim boost only.

Worth it, but those are the give aways (albeit I have AMG mats, not badges)

Pretty sure you would have noticed by now if the discs were 20mm smaller ? No ? with that discrepancy the car would need different hubs/calliper brackets ??

As for the 'sport' bit , no idea, but you only have to look at all the little 4 pot diesel shopping trollies out there with a 'sport' badge on them.

My 2012 C350 Sport Blue Efficiency came from the factory with slightly lowered suspension, as well as the various AMG badged bits like wheels and mats.

The only mention of ‘sport’ on the car is on the button for operating the optional Dynamic Handling Pack.

It seems that SPORT on an ML is a trim level. According to Parkers.
