So tonight i nipped along to tesco and and the blower stopped working, so when i got home had an investigation, get 12v going to the rheostat and .83 of a volt coming out, so obviously thats duff, then i thought i would test my heater motor, just to rule that out, so removed that and tested it and nothing, what a pain in the butt 1 component has gone and has taken the other with it, now normaly i wouldnt be worried at all about this, but in 7 weeks i get my new car so didnt want to fork out probably a substantial sum to fix, (sods law has struck again) i will probably just order second hand ones from ebay if my local breaker doesnt have these available as its getting traded in.
If it was spring summer kinda time i would have been naughty and just left it and traded it in like that and drove the rx7 but since its gritty roads time theres no way im driving that about!

Had similar on my s204. Turned out to be rheostat not actual blower. Found GSF auto parts to he cheapest for new replacement but from memory still close to £100 vs £200 from main stealer.

So the fix for this was a new rheostat and motor for anyone else that has this issue
