morning.

My merc e300 2014 auto diesel seems to have developed an issue with the turbo i believe, i had a code of P00af (which when cleated has not come back)

And a returning code of P0299.

The car is showing the orange drive chain light. But no other warning lights or messages.

There is now a major power loss on acceleration and the car now crawls up hills. And gear changes are all over the place.

I have had a look at what I think is the turbo actuator and it seems to show next to no movement when put under load.

However I can move the actuator by hand so it’s not stuck!

Help please

Don't know much about your particular car, however I'd start by checking the vacum hoses.
Take them off, clean them then check for holes. Simple test is to plug it with a finger and suck it and seal with tongue. If it holds vacum its probs OK.
I'd also look at those turbo air hoses. Check there are no holes and they are tight. If you take the air hoses off and expose the turbo vanes then give them a wiggle to see if there is any movement up and down or side to side....

Best of luck.
