A Class
Hi all,
Newbie here.

Looking for some help, my 2015 A Class (1600 Diesel) wont start using the button. It starts ok using the key. The glow plug light stays on. Car seems to drive ok, without any apparent loss of power.
I cleared errors using my cheapo obd2 and the button started working, but this morning, the same thing has happened.
Any ideas? I'm due to fly on holiday in the next couple of days and need the car to get to the airport!

Any help appreciated!

Does the car start on the button ok with the spare key fob? If yes, perhaps the battery needs replacing in the original fob?
The glow plug light staying on, suggests there is a fault with one or more glow plugs and/or the glow plug relay. Neither of which would stop the car starting and running normally.

Haven't tried that, but it wouldn't explain that if OBD reset then its fine a for a bit. It looks like the glow plug light and the non button start are related. When resetting it last night, the car started with the OBD still plugged in, and then stop / start using the button it was ok. This morning, glow plug light was back on and had to use the key.

I need help with this issue?

Hello,

I have the same problem. Glow plug light is on and the car won't start with the button. If I take the button out and use the key it works fine. Has anyone solved this problem? The car starts normally and there are no signs of faulty plugs. When I deleted the error message, it worked fine, but this morning the same light was on and the start stop button did not work.

Thanks.
