2019 E400d OM656 engine

Hi Guys

I have a 2019 E400d with the straight 6 OM656 engine.

I have an intermittent fault that nobody seems to have previous knowledge off.

When driving, normally with cruise control on, the vehicle goes into limp mode. If the engine is turned off and then back on, the vehicle returns to normal operation. This happens every 200-300 miles. Although normally fault occurs when cruise control is on, it has done it once with out. Therefore only happens when engine is cruising and not performing. The fault has never happened when pushing the engine.

Error code shows a low turbo pressure fault.

Spoken to a couple of specialists one says they have not come across fault before, the other says they will only be able to diagnose if the fault can be made to happen to order?

Any ideas?

If thats the only code it can only really be the turbo itself (which it was in my case) or boost leaks through split pipes etc. EGR issues can cause lost boost.....but you dont appear to have any EGR fault codes. My cruise would not work for more that a couple of minutes when the turbo was dying. Just to be clear I have the V6 not the straight six. What did you use to get your fault code?
