220CDi remap

Can the W202 C220 CDi be re-mapped/chipped for more bhp?

I presume they can be mapped but has anyone any experience of doing this?

And is it common to do?

I know vag engines respond well to remapping so was wondering do the 220 cdi engines respond well too.

The car I will be buying will be a high mileage car [around 100k] so maybe chipping a high mileage car not advised?

Mercedes remap the engine themselves. The C200 CDi and the C220 CDi are the same 2148cc engine with different mapping.
As for an aftermarket chippy, search the forums for 'chip' and 'diesel'.
