Hi there,

Can someone please tell me if the car's computer (59 plate) will warn me when my oil is low, or whether I have to manually check myself with the dipstick.

I have read the manual but it say's my model will require a manual check, but MB tell me the car's computer should warn me.

I didn't think you have a dipstick. I thought you check using the computer menu on the car!

It should obviously worn of low pressure.

Have you checked if you actually have a dipstick, and not just the blanking plug?

I don't think that you will have a dipstick in your car.

(as Stratman said it will likely be a blanking plug)

Speaking from a C class sports coupe (w203 2002) I have to check my engine oil level from the steering wheel controls and on screen display respectively.

If you still have your service manual it will all be explained in there.
