230te Starting problems !!!

Hi all, hope someone can shed some light on this problem for me. My 1991 230te is having starting problems, for the past couple of days it has been very sluggish to turn over, not jumping into life at the first turn of the key but taking about 20 seconds or so before catching, and now last night just would not start, It started this morning, i drove about 5 miles parked up and now it wont start again.
I was thinking dirty connections or hopefully not the starter motor !

All thoughts appreciated.......

New Battery Required?? Check The Engine/starter / Battery Earth Straps
