Probably due to a leaky windscreen, hardly any of the lights or gauges work on my '94 250D. No oil, fuel or temp gauges work, the dash dimmer seems stuck on full dim, etc, etc.

I'm obviously looking to sort the screen (posted elsewhere) but where do I start trying to fix them all? Is removal of the dash to replace bulbs a simple job?

Test all the fuses first.

Off topic but out of interest what did you pay for the car??

I paid £600 for it. I did have in mind that it was going to need a couple of wings, a replacement driver's seat and some mechanical work but I thought that these could be done over time and reasonably ecconomically. I didn't see the windscreen leak and electrical problems in my equation though

And thanks, I'll try and locate the fuses too. Need to get a workshop manual very quickly as I'm still finding out where everything is.
