As a complete aside, there is a 20mm difference in section width between an MO and non-MO Continental Sport Contact 3 285/35R18 101Y XL. MO spec seems to vary quite a bit!

I get wound up over things like this so I would rather pay a little more and see the tyres before I pay than order from black circles and have no end of grief if they were not MO

Rory - I work in Bromborough by the old Kelvinator factory on the A41 and Wirral tyres are next doo, they buy from Oak tyres as most do

All Merc Dealerships have Kwik-fit tyre-fitters on site....Kwik-fit supply and fit and bill the Dealership.......MO fitments a load of tosh, its just an after sales con to stock with "OE" parts....no difference to non-MO other than a compound used for running at higher temps which MB request from most manufacturers, which is more suited to countires other than the UK.....but not all new mercs come with MO fitments anyway.....so whats that all about ?

Some MO tyres cost less wholesale than non-MO..
