272 engine

Hi

I am going to be looking at a C Class 350 AMG with 272 engine, I understand that there are some issues regarding the balance shaft wear, so can anyone advise on what I should be looking for, and what are the symptoms, the mileage is 59,000 on a 55 plate.

I will only be using the car on occasions.

Get the engine number and we can see which of the three scenarios applies. HTH

Any signs of the engine warning light coming on even if it goes out on restart should be regarded with suspicion.
