3 seperate people told me I'd left my lights on last night, Does anyone else have this problem with the fog lights unlock/lock function? or is it just the people of derbyshire being "helpful!"

Not limited to Derbyshire. We have them in Kent.

I normally reply with "Its a Mercedes, my driver will switch them off."

I'm sure you already know, but just in case you don't it's possible to adjust the 'Stay On' time from the steering wheel buttons.

Yep here in Chester people tell me, I think it's a great touch and surprised other makes don't do it... Maybe they do but not seen it.

I've had the comment a couple of times. More often I get told one of my fog lights isn't working. I then have to explain they are also cornering lights. That usually results in a "Oh! That's clever"! ;)

Have to say that 'Locator Lighting' was one of the first things I disabled on the Vito.

Exterior Lighting Delay might be useful to get you to the front door in the dark, but how many houses are without sensor lights these days? So I've got that disabled as well.

I wondered what this thread was going to be about when I saw the title, given that it is Valentines day

Same problem in Staffordshire. The BMW has locator lighting on it which activates the lights in the doorhandles too.

Happens to me at work a lot but then I start work when it is still dark.....

What's a bit silly is they work when reversing, as I found out backing into a parking space at the pub a couple of weeks back. A couple of friends watched me doing it and promptly told me my fog lights were clearly faulty. The same night on leaving, another friend leaving at the same time from opposite in the car park leaped out of his car and ran acoss the car park, arms waving madly... "Your left fog light bulb is blown". :)

A pretty pointless gimmick in my opinion.
