300td 1992

Hi Folks
I have bought a 300TD 1992 and for a 3000ltr she seems to lack the grunt you may expect from this engine. I know she's getting on 220,000 mls but it really does lack power. I have changed the fuel filter,air filter etc.I understand there is a PRE FILTER. Where is it please and are there any other idea's you have that may help me out. Many thanks, Tankie

Check that the throttle cable does not need adjusted, get someone to press the throttle right down and then go to the cable under the bonnet and pull on it to see if it operates further on the injector pump. Wifes car same as yours was transformed!!!!
