300te 3.6 BRABUS

Its interesting you say that as ive always thought both of my SEC's have felt quicker than others ive driven... a grey area it must be!
A dyno session would probably answer all the questions and is probably more reliable than a sticker in the engine bay!

Not really, unless you know precisely how much drivetrain loss there will be ?

Given the difference is such a small percentage, trying to determine this on a dyno run, means the difference will be lost between using a drivetrain loss percentage of 15% or 20%.

The sticker in the engine bay comes from the factory - also the options list for the car will carry the 822 code. It's not something that can be added on. A simple check on the options on the MB system will show 822 or not, easy check for confirmation of true 300bhp.

Two cars on the same dyno - one after the other - would make drivetrain loss irrelevant. Straight comparison of power at the wheels.

Car with supposed higher output ought to be showing a little more than a car thought to have the lower output.

Yes that's obvious... but not the point i thought was being made. I thought the point being made was to determine whether the 560 in question has 300bhp or 280bhp.

^Agreed. Anyway as I said earlier ir seems to have Brabus Tempamatic. So probably a Brabus. And DRUK posted previously to say his friend owned it.

Another thread gone way off topic

Maybe.... but when they go off topic in this nature, I think of it as constructive conversation.

I for one have learned something I didnt know before.
