320CLS and the iPhone 4s

Hi guys.

I'm defiantly going to need some help here.
I have a 2007 320CLS CDI, it has the satnav stereo and always prompts telephone on when car is started. I have an iPhone 4S, how do I get the car to recognise the phone and work through the head unit?

Is there a phone connector in the top of the armrest ?

It sounds like you have an aftermarket phone system added. This is why it does the 'phone mute' thing as the car is switched on. Have you tried searching for bluetooth devices whilst in the car? What do you get if you do that ?

In the armrest I can see a small black plastic moulding shaped like the top of a Nokia 6310i.
I will go and try a Bluetooth search now.

The phone would not find the car.
After looking at the link, I know why!

I have same car, bought and fitted the VISEEO thingy to the UHI thingy, 4S connected perfectly.
