Update on my issues with overheating 2009 E350cdi, many thanks to the members who offered up many solutions to the issue. I have just picked up my car from Prestige Car Specialists, Ibrox, Glasgow, who diagnosed fault with fan, this then developed after various tests to discovering the main plug/connector for the fan had broken/bent prongs. Couple on new bits for the connectors, fans working, car is staying on temp, and my blood pressure has returned to normal level. Can't recommend the garage enough, listened to my woes, kept me informed, and very fairly priced.

Good to hear of a company who can correctly diagnose, carry out a repair and charge a reasonable price, rather than the "that'll be £200 to diagnose £300 for a new fan £400 labour plus vat" brigade. Excellent result.

They sound a decent outfit. Did they have any thoughts on how the plug got damaged?
