500E factory alarm- does it have one?

Does anyone know if a german market 500E comes with a factory alarm? If so is it operated on he key?

Nor sure if it came standard with it, but if it has one it does operate with the key. Try locking your car on the outside with your key, leave a window open and then reach in and open the car from the inside - if it does have an alarm it will start honking. To disengage alarm you must unlock the car with the key.
