ooh that looks nice. decent price? very high miles though
with these old cars it's important to have fully stamped servicebook and been taken care of, the mileage isn't very important.
however a low mileage car is preferably as long as it's been taken care of as well.

I would avoid. Plus I was offered this car for £2500 a few years ago but remember I wasn't in the right position to buy 
And 10 previous owners & high miles, it's probably knackered. Hate bornite too!

i personally don't fear high miles or many owners. if a car is to be abused, that can be done by just one owner....amazing how anyone can assume that a one owner car is cared for as opposed to a ten owner car without knowing anything about the owners themselves.
The 500e is a tank.....if someone thrashes it or throws it around with some hard driving, then that really is not going to bother this car. It was built to take it all in it's stride.
The colour is great on this car - i got the same colour 500E last year as my 3rd 500e.
Sometimes worth looking at a car before drawing conclusion that it's bad. I just took delivery of a 1997 BMW Alpina 750il.....the car is the cleanest i have ever seen, it is literally like brand spanking new everywhere ! Perfect drive, perfect bodywork, perfect interior. 6 previous owners....

I'll try to respond to some of the comments -
I think the price is a fair starting point for a 500E in the condition that it is. There's no denying that it has a high mileage compared to the much more expensive garage queen 500's but it has been serviced regularly and we all know how durable both the W124 and M119 running gear is. The car DOES get used for its original purpose!
The 10 previous owners is correct - it's from a document from the DVLA and details transfers between partners and back again (thus being recorded as three previous owners each time).
The bork factor on these can be quite high, although none of the running costs are quite enough to drive you to emigration - it's all standard kit really!

It actually works very well!
Im very tempted to keep this one... really drives well after some routine maintenance we have done to it.
