500SL going cheap

If I had watched it to the end I would have gone up a bit more, this was just a start, I am thinking of selling The Golf and the 107 and buying a 129 after all I dont really need 4 cars. This car sort of sparked my interest, but I am going to do a bit more research now.

It's not like a real auction, with people sat in a room. If you'd put in what you were actually prepared to pay you might have got the car, probably for less than your maximum bid amount! If you don't want to be seen to be bidding at all then you can use a sniping tool like BidNapper to automatically put in your maximum figure a couple of seconds before bidding closes.

Here's a question (OT). If several bidders are using snipers, who wins?

So do we think that SL went for a bargain price? Apart from being grey primer and black leather

I quite liked it.:) :)

If I am being totally honest I suppose I chickened out!
I have bought and sold a few cars on Ebay, always done well with them. My 107 I bought with the Profit on a 1978 Aston Martin that I bought on Ebay!

The one who puts in the highest maximum bid. It's no different to bidding manually, in that respect.

Yeah, but what if they both have the same maximum (I'm not just trying to be difficult :) )

Again, the same as two people entering the same bid manually - the one that goes in first gets it. Even if two people used the same sniper (there are lots) to submit the same maximum bid, one would hit eBay fractionally before the other ... depending on how the sniper is programmed.
