First post so be gentle.. And I have searched but just confused the hell out if myself!!

So I have just bought a 59 c250. A w204? It is a lovely car, but it has the audio 20 with Bluetooth phone but no nav.

I would like to add nav of some sorts, the Becker would be great....and iPod control but it all looks to be cost prohibitive... What are my best options?

Worst case can I just plug my iPod in via the headphone socket in the glove box?

Thanks in advance.

It's a w204, you can use the aux socket with a iPod jack lead, but the sound quality isn't fantastic, so you can add an inline amp to boost the sound.

Unsure on the navi however, I'd rather use my iphone than waste the money tbh...

The MB Sat Nav even with COMAND is nothing special, if you need to get around everyday to a lot of places quickly, get a tomtom, otherwise pursue the MB route. For a satnav to be any good it's got to be touchscreen and updateable quickly via pc and the MB set up is not. One destination a day and it is fine, anything more and you'll soon discover that is not up to much.

Cool thanks, so tom for the nav it is then... Now to find a decent place to install it..

What about the iPod then.. The next step up from using the aux? Any decent wired connections or any way to add Bluetooth streaming?

If you add the genuine Mercedes iPod kit, then you get better sound and can control the iPod from the steering wheel controls and the instrument cluster screen showing track names, albums, artists, playlists etc

To that, you can add this device

ViseeO WMA1000 Tune2Air Bluetooth Audio Streaming iPod/iPhone Adapter | Mercedes iPod solutions | Mercedes Retrofits | Comand Online Ltd

Which gives you bluetooth audio streaming with the track database etc uploaded

That sounds interesting ... What sort of money is that?

My online command works just fine, never experienced one single problem with it

My COMAND works fine aswell, I just don't rate it as a Sat Nav. COMAND is just a "Jack of all trades" (Master of none).
